How it works

From your documents to a cited answer — with custody you keep.

You use Microfiber like any modern AI. The difference is where your data lives: your document corpus stays inside a boundary we control, grounded on your own files — and what reaches the model at query time depends on your tier.

How it works02

Three steps to AI you can sign off on.

Your own isolated tenant — your documents, your model access, nobody else's data anywhere near it.

Microfiber learns the structure of your work — returns, workpapers, schedules, prior years — so it becomes the memory of your practice: answers grounded in your actual files, with citations to the source.

Through a private endpoint, with full custody, a full audit trail, and your documents staying inside an environment we control.

The separation, drawn03

From your documents to a cited answer — with custody you keep.

Your document corpus, the vector store, retrieval, and prompt assembly live inside a boundary we control; what reaches the model at query time depends on your tier.

control plane — separated by designportal · billing · login · holds no client data
A customer's application calls Microfiber's private endpoint with their own key. Inside an Microfiber-controlled boundary — the data plane — a gateway handles auth, routing, and metadata-only logging, and a retrieval (RAG) layer assembles prompts grounded in the firm's own documents and returns cited answers. Per-tenant isolation keeps every firm separate. The firm's document corpus stays inside this boundary we control. On the managed tier, only the stateless excerpts needed to answer — a prompt plus retrieved chunks — transit to a contracted inference provider under a no-retention agreement and are discarded after the response; on the owned-hardware tier, inference runs inside the boundary, so nothing transits at all. The control plane (portal, billing, login) is separated by design and holds no client data.
Per-tenant isolation

The control-plane / data-plane split — the trust story, made architectural.

The benefit is on the surface. The detail is one click down.

For the technical evaluator: the private endpoint, control-plane/data-plane separation, per-tenant isolation, retrieval-grounded answers, stateless compute, and the models we run privately — all spelled out, with custody mapped to your WISP.

The product

One private platform. For your entire team.

Generic AI starts from zero on your data — and asks you to send it somewhere you can't. Microfiber is the opposite: one private platform your whole team works through, on infrastructure you control.

Common questions

FAQ

Straight answers for the careful buyer.

No. We retrieve over your documents to ground answers; we never train or fine-tune on your data. Different mechanism, and the distinction is the whole point.

We don't have one. Microfiber has no proprietary model of its own to train, so there's no incentive — and no mechanism — to learn from what you feed it. Most privacy is a promise not to look; ours is an architecture with nothing to gain by looking.

Your documents stay inside an environment you control — never used for training, never retained, never mixed with another firm's. When the AI answers, only the specific excerpts it needs are processed: on our standard setup, by a contracted provider under a strict no-retention agreement; on our dedicated setup, on hardware inside your own boundary where nothing leaves at all. You choose what your obligations require.

Yes. Every request is written to a verifiable, metadata-only log — model, timestamp, token counts, never your content. It's the record your profession already requires, extended to AI: not a promise we handled your data right, a record that shows it.
